Qurbani 2023

Donate Qurbani

During this Dhul-Hijjah, the act of offering Qurbani has the potential to nourish families facing poverty and grappling with the aftermath of natural disasters. As the Muslim Ummah comes together to honor the time-honored tradition of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) during Eid, we invite you to stand with us in providing support and spreading happiness among our fellow brothers and sisters who are in dire need. Your generous Qurbani donations can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected. By contributing four times for Qurbani, we can multiply the impact and reach even more individuals and families who are in desperate need of assistance. Let us unite in the spirit of giving and make this Eid a memorable one for those who are less fortunate.

What is Qurbani?

During Eid Al-Adha, numerous Muslims contribute towards Qurbani donations for sacrifice, and the meat obtained from these animals is distributed to the impoverished and destitute. This act of worship mirrors the sacrifice carried out by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) when he underwent a test of his faith in Allah (SWT).

At Albaraka Welfare Trust, we are committed to adhering to Islamic practices and procedures in order to carry out multiple Qurbani donations according to the Sunnah. Every year, Hakeem Imam Muhammed Farhan Siddiqui personally travels to Pakistan to ensure that our Qurbani project is conducted in accordance with the correct teachings of Islam. He personally distributes the meat in the most vulnerable areas.

The majority of scholars agree that Qurbani donations are a sunnah mu’akkadah (highly recommended) or wajib (obligatory) for every mentally sound Muslim who possesses the means to afford it. It is distinct from Zakat or Sadaqah.

The permissible animals for Qurbani donations include goats, sheep, cattle (such as cows, oxen, and buffaloes), or camels. These animals must be healthy and free from any diseases. They should be well-cared for and treated with kindness and respect.

Qurbani donations are performed on the 10th, 11th, and 12th days of Dhul Hijjah. At Albaraka Welfare Trust, we procure livestock and transport them to poverty-stricken areas for sacrifice, ensuring that those who are most in need can benefit. We prioritize widows, households led by females, and orphaned children who often struggle with food poverty and lack support.

Your Qurbani can help ease their hunger.

Every year, your Qurbani contributions enable us to provide essential assistance to those living in the most challenging circumstances. As hunger continues to surge worldwide and natural calamities wreak havoc, an alarming number of individuals are left without proper nourishment. Many families survive on meager staples, enduring prolonged periods without the luxury of meat.

The Hadith of Jundub, may Allah be pleased with him, who reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: “Whoever slaughtered his sacrifice before he prays, let him slaughter another one in its place, and whoever did not slaughter a sacrifice, let him do so in the name of Allah.” [Reported by Muslim (3621)]

Make a life-changing impact with your Qurbani Donation: Alleviate their hunger!

During this Eid al-Adha, we have set our sights on 58 locations throughout Pakistan, encompassing Mehran Basti to Babu Bajtanni Goth. Within these areas reside some of the most underprivileged individuals in Pakistan, who continue to battle the aftermath of last year’s destructive floods and endure severe food scarcity. They rely on us to provide them with Qurbani meat. By reserving your Qurbani in advance, you can play a vital role in maximizing our outreach to as many people as we can assist.
